Colour To Motivate

How to motivate yourself yo go for an early morning workout when it’s cold, drizzly, and gloomy outside?

Easy! Be Positive, Smile, and choose a colourful fitness wear outfit to brighten up your look and your mood.

Yes! It works. Think about it for a minute.

It’s a given that when people feel down they generally wear dark colours..mainly black. Hence the black requirement in some religions to wear black after a death.

So…throw on something bright and beautiful. walk out that door and hit the pavement, the park, the gym..whatever!!! Just do it..you will feel better and improve your mental and physical health..oh! and look amazing while doing it 🙂

A Healthy, Happy Me.

A Healthy, Happy Me.

Ok..so the Easter Festivities are over…well, in this part of the world anyway.

Time to get back on track and jump onto the fast paced “train of life”. Why have our lives become so hectic? Everyone seems to either be “very busy”…’have no time” “stressed”…”anxious”…”DEPRESSED”.

Yes, it’s the “D” word. i’m not sure about other parts of the world, but here in beautiful Australia the “D” word is verbalised daily.

How can it be that we live in one of the most fortunate countries in the world and yet a huge chunk of our population is DEPRESSED?.

I do understand that it is a legitimate condition which legitimately affects a great chunk of this beautiful country and i dare say other countries..but i cannot help but feel that sometimes we tend to throw the word and emotions that go with it around, as if it has suddenly become an essential part of our daily living.

How can one help him or herself from feeling down?…Now i’m not talking about clinical depression here, so let’s get that straight. I’m talking about the negative self-talk..the little voices in our heads that become emotions if we believe them and continue to effect our daily existence.

Step 1. “BE POSITIVE” Think good, positive thoughts..kill that negativity!

Step 2. “SMILE”..force yourself if it doesn’t come naturally…you will reap the rewards!

Step 3. “EXERCISE”..Yes!!!! BE ACTIVE..Those endorphins will kick in and you will immediately feel much better…and your physical body will also benefit immensely.

Three little steps daily will get you on the right track to happiness and a positive outlook on life.

Enjoy your time on this beautiful planet..be happy 🙂

Love your Body, Live Your Life!

So many of us “women” are constantly scrutinised..(by each other). So much pressure to look, behave, in a certain way. Of-course this has a lot to do with mass media and our need to conform and feel part of the “group”.

Why not be individuals…confident women who can embrace something different and not be part of the norm?

Whether this be your fashion sense, your workout ethic, your life’s ambition. It should be yours and yours only.

Let’s not worry about what other people think of us..because honestly, at the end of the day..does it REALLY matter?

What REALLY matters is our own perception of ourselves and our self-worth.

Love Yourself….Look after your body and your soul…Be happy 🙂

Easter Time

Ok…so it’s Easter Time! Celebrations and Feasts are around the corner.

Depending on your culture and religion there will be a barrage of delectable treats that will await you. It’s wonderful to indulge in the festivities and traditions of Easter with friends and family.

However, if you’re a gym junkie…this can pose many psychological demons to emerge.Guilt, Fear, Worry!!!! All of these,of course are related to the intake of the not-so healthy foods that you might consume.

As a certified gym junkie and fitness trainer,my advise would be to relax and enjoy! It’s OK to indulge every-so often in the joys of family friendship and good food. Of-course don’t go absolutely mad with glee at the sight of the delectable treats and overindulge.Moderation is key!

The most important thing is to incorporate daily exercise into your Easter holiday routine. Go for walks…outdoor runs…do a home workout, attend a group fitness class or play some form of sport.  Stay Active!!!!!

This will make you feel better and release some of the psychological stresses that come with the Easter Festivities. And above all Enjoy! Life is way too short to worry about the tiny little things that take our pleasure away.

Have  a wonderful..Active…Easter Break 🙂

Prints are so HOT!

Yes we are all loving our printed leggings. The rage has surely hit Australia BIG TIME! What i love most about it, is that a few years ago when babaluaustralia introduced some printed leggings down-under.. there was a bit of an uproar. Yes, i believe we were one of the first to do it..but things weren’t so great back then.

“What? Printed Leggings and Capris? Oh! There’s no way i could…would ever wear those to the gym.” That was the most common response to any suggestion of ever wearing such outrageous leggings.

Fast forward a few years later and everyone is sporting at least one pair of printed leggings. One customer even voiced quite proudly ” I have 23!”

That’s what i love about fashion. It somehow gets under your skin and if you’ve seen it on a few people once..twice…three times it’s grows on you. It’s great to see women become more comfortable in their own skin and grow with confidence so much so that they can wear a pair of the oh so popular printed leggings.
